Whole year around there is a weekly bus from Uppsala to Zagreb and from there on to Capljina or Neum, the bus departures each Thursday at 20:00 (8pm). The bus trip has an end to end duration of about 46-47 hours. In Sweden you can board the bus in the following cities
Stockholm, Södertalje, Nyköping Norrköping, Söderköping, Valdermasvik, Västervik, Oskarshamn, Mönsterås, Kalmar, Karlskrona, Ronneby, Karlshamn, Sölvesborg, Malmö
The bus arrives in Malmö Friday morning at 08:00 where it meets with a bus coming from Drammen in Norway, this bus can also be boarded in the following Swedish towns Udevalla, Gothenburg, Varberg, Falkenberg, Halmstad, Helsingborg, Landskrona. From Malmö the bus continues to Copenhagen and then to Germany via the ferry between Gedser and Rostock.
First stop where the bus can be exited is in Ljubljana, where the bus arrives Saturday morning at 05:30, from Ljubljana the bus continues to Zagreb, where it arrives at 07:30. From Zagreb the bus splits in two legs one in direction Capljina and one in direction Neum. On the Capljina “leg”, the bus stops in the following cities:
Banja Luka, Prnjavor, Derventa, Doboj, Maglaj, Zenica, Kakanj, Visoko, Sarajevo, Konjic, Jablanica, Mostar, Citluk and Medjugorje.
On the Neum “leg” the bus stops in Cazin, Bihac, Bosanski Petrovac, Kljuc, Jajce, Donji Vakuf, Bugojno, Kupres, Livno and a few other cities.
It is not possible to buy ticket between the Swedish cities on the route, or from Swedish cities to Copenhagen, but it is possible to buy ticket from Sweden or Denmark to Ljubljana, Zagreb and any of the Bosnia towns.
Ticket prices vary from about 150 to 200 Euro, depending on where you get on and of the bus, in addition to the ticket price you will have to pay for the luggage for the hold, for pensioners and children under 12 years discounted tickets are available, you can find ticket price and departure times by using the search form at the top of this site.
